The Little Wooden Boy And The Belly Of Love
Blow-Hole, an eighty-foot tall, bipedal whale, bursts from the Atlantic Ocean and begins a cross-country jog. Meanwhile, The Tick and Arthur encounter Carmelita Vatos, daughter of the eccentric inventor J.J. "Eureka" Vatos, missing inventor of Arthur's moth suit. Arthur and Carmelita fall in love, but their idyll is interrupted by the pursuit of Swiss industrial spies, who wield four-foot-long Swiss Army knives loaded with offensive options.
Alone Together
When the Tick tries to erase Chairface Chippendale's "CHA" from the moon, he accidently switches his jet pack with his explosives pack and is rocketed into space. Arthur believes The Tick is dead and sinks into a deep depression. Arthur tries to be a sidekick to other heroes with no luck, then The Whirling Scottish Devil shows up. Out in space, The Tick runs into Omnipotus, Devourer of Worlds. Omnipotus and The Tick make a deal that gets The Tick a ride back to Earth. Once they get close to Earth, The Tick realizes that Omnipotus has evil plans, steals a rocket shoe and runs ahead to Earth to warn everyone. While Omnipotus is eating the Dewey Bridge, The Tick and Arthur convince him that Earth is too good eat. Because The Tick is his friend, Omnipotus leaves Earth but takes a bite out of the moon as he leaves to "tide him over".
Armless But Not Harmless
The Tick and Arthur run afoul of Venus, a portly but alluring love goddess/villain, and her sycophantic sidekick, Milo. The villains successfully remove The Tick and Arthur's arms and attach them to a pair of crude look-alike robots. Venus begins a crime spree with the help of the heroes' arms, while The Tick and Arthur evade a police manhunt and try to reclaim their errant extremities and save the day.
Coach Fussel's Lament
The Brainchild is at it again! This time he has strapped Miriam Brunch, a dowdy middle-aged babysitter, on a cybernetic exoskeleton, in order to terrorize The City. The Tick and Arthur engage her in combat. The Tick is stunned, captured, and brought in to
the clutches of Miriam's tormentor. Brainchild subjects the captive Tick to a humiliating series of transformations: he is shrunk to the size of a third-place bowling trophy and saddled with an extra head, then turned into a two-headed bluebird that can only speak high school French. The Diner Gang, led by Arthur, restore The Tick and bring Brainchild to justice, just as his parents come home.
Leonardo Da Vinci And His Fightin' Genius Time Commandoes
The Mother of Invention, a bitter little man who flunked out of air conditioner repair school, has kidnapped some of history's greatest inventors from their respective eras in time. His plan: to use a "time bomb" to blow up the Renaissance, thus casting the world back into the Dark Ages, giving him the chance to reinvent all the world's technology.
Bloomsday
At the Annual Flower Show in The City the dangerous 400 Year Bloom ended its tour early. The evil plant king, El Seed wanted to add the bloom to his collection. Professor Ikebana, who was responsible for the plants, switched plants with Arthur. El Seed kidnapped the Professor and was angry when he found out the plants had been switched. The Tick and American Maid left Arthur with the Bloom and went to rescue the Professor. The Bee Twins and Rosebud took the Bloom from Arthur. El Seed had the Bloom, butArthur's hay fever allowed The Tick and American Maid to find him. Arthur sang to the out of control Bloom and got it under control.
Evil Sits Down For A Moment
The Ottoman, a beautiful, interior-design-savvy villainess with the power to animate and control furniture, falls in love with Die Fledermaus during her plot to take over The City. Die Fledermaus is at first enthralled by the icy elegance of his evil paramour, but loses enthusiasm when she reveals the crowning touch of her heinous scheme: to marry him!
HEROES
Based loosely on the TV series "COPS," this episode gives us a gritty, real-life
look at the glory and boredom of superhero life in The City. A shaky, hand-held documentary camera follows The Tick and other heroes as they pursue The Deadly Bulb, a lightbulb-themed villain desperate for national TV exposure -- and a popular show like "HEROES" is just the place to get it.
Ants In Pants!
A group of glass-stealing women, wearing trench coats, are trying to control The City. The Tick finds out that each of the women is actually thousands of intelligent ants stuffed together in clothes. The Tick is covered by a swarm of ants and cannot deal with it, landing him in Captain Sanity's Superhero Sanitarium. With The Tick gone, the ants try to take over The City. Arthur, American Maid, Sewer Urchin, Die Fledermaus, and Fishboy climb a twenty story ant hill and are captured in a giant people farm. The Tick confronts his ant fears and meets a giant ant composite lead by the ant queen. The ants have a giant magnifying glass that they will use to burn The City down. The Tick manages to capture the ant queen and all is well in The City once again.
The Tick Loves Santa
A small-time bank robber in a stolen Santa Claus costume is chased into an electric billboard, gaining miraculous powers. He becomes Multiple Santa, a villain able to create electric clones of himself. The Tick, Arthur, and their superhero friends are called upon to rid The City of this Christmas menace.
The Tick vs. The Big Nothing
The Tick and Arthur are abducted by The Whats, a race of space aliens whose language consists of a single word: "What" delivered in a rainbow spectrum of emotional tonalities. They need The Tick's help to battle the scourge of the known universe -- The
Heys (who also have a one-word language: "Hey"). This alien race worships The Big Nothing, and has set out to end all of time and space by smashing one black hole into another.
The Tick vs. Reno, Nevada
Reno entertainers Soren and Frederica were in the middle of their act with their dolphin, Mr. Smarty Pants, when something happened. They sent for Arthur to help because they knew his parents, who had told them he was a superhero. Arthur and The Tick got to Reno and Soren and Fred thought The Tick was the Arthur for whom they had sent. Once they straightened that out, The Tick and Arthur studied tank of Mr. Smarty Pants and found a fish that was not the type Mr. Smarty Pants ate. The Tick and Arthur went to Two-Eyed Jack's UFO Landing Site, the only place in Reno to buy that specific fish. They learned that the people who bought the fish would be back for more that same day, so they planned to hide in fish barrels. Arthur realized that The Tick was missing. and found him gambling. When they returned to Jack's, Soren and Fred's barrels had already been taken. Mr. Smarty Pants, alias The Fin, and his followers, the Cult of The Fin, had Soren and Fred, who Mr. Smarty Pants hated all his life. The Tick and Arthur arrived to save the twins. Mr. Smarty Pants decided to get even by using his Fish Magnet to drop fish over Reno. The Tick distracted the dolphin in a breath holding competition and Arthur reversed the polarity of the magnet, sending the fish back.
Grandpa Wore Tights
The Tick and Arthur were at Commander Goodbye's Superhero Retirement Home listening to stories by the Decency Squad. There was one story about the Desirovac, a machine that can give its user whatever he wants, to which the Decency Squad unknowingly reveal the location. One of the people in the home was planted there by his father, the evil Terror, who wanted the Desirovac. The Terror breaks the Human Ton out of prison and they go to the hiding place of the Desirovac. The Tick and Arthur follow them, but it's too late. The Tick's antennae are taken from him by the Terror, leaving him offbalanced. Arthur uses the Desireovac to return The Tick to his usual condition and he captures The Terror and the Human Ton.
