The Thing premiered on NBC on September 22, 1979. The Thing cartoons ran as part of the Fred And Barney Meet The Thing series. Hanna-Barbera teamed up Fred and Barney from the Flintstones with the Thing from the Fantastic Four. Later episodes were rerun as part of the Fred And Barney Meet Shmoo series.
