The Real Ghostbusters LogoThese are half-hour cartoons. The Real Ghostbusters premiered on September 13, 1986 in syndication. The series title reflects the fact that another animated series, which had nothing to do with the hit Ghostbusters movie, was already on television with the name Ghostbusters. The show also debuted on ABC on Saturdays in the 1986-87 season and ran for two seasons there until 1988, when it added a Slimer! episode alongside The Real Ghostbusters episodes, changed its name to Slimer And The Real Ghostbusters and ran for three more seasons. The series lasted until 1991. It was a DIC Enterprises Production.
